I've used this on wedding and gym shoots numerous times - awesome smoke machine like effect with 100% portability. Love it!
Tried this during our church online recording inside a studio with a sensitive fire alarm which has been triggered by our hazer before, but this one works like a charm!
I wasn't sure about this but after I tried it, it became a must have for every shoot.
So easy to use and lightweight compared with fog machines which are always a hustle to bring with you. I recommend it!

I've been using Atmosphere Aerosol cans for years now! We love it for a number of different situations. Where it shines the most is when you have shoots in remote locations - where power is hard to find. This haze in a can has made a number of weddings great, and an even greater number of studio shoots even better!
This is photography fun in a can!! 😁
Cool product. Useful for many types of photography and videography.
This stuff is amazing! It's so easy to use, carry and master. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for that extra bit on their photos and videos.
Haven't bought a can myself but my mate uses it and it adds heaps to his images! adds so much more mood.
Extremely portable and convinient. Works best with no wind but is quite resilient in open spaces.
Works as intended and lingers around long enough to get the shot without having to set up a fog machine. Definitely a go to accessory for filmmakers and photographers.
Used these on a recent film shoot and they really helped our lighting set-up to 'shine' (no pun intended). It looked great on camera! Keen to use them again!
Great effect and good price

"When you want to add a little bit of drama to otherwise gorgeous sunlight, use some Atmosphere Aerosol behind your subject. It will accentuate those sun rays and add another dimension to your photo." - @ningwongstudios
We recently held our College musical ‘Hairspray’ and throughout the choreography the use of hairspray was required. This presented a problem, as real hairspray makes the stage slippery and dangerous for the cast. We purchased your product through www.atmosphere-aerosol.com.au, wrapped the cans with a skin to look like hairspray and used them through rehearsals, and then the 5 performances. Amazingly even after the large amount of use there was still product left in them. The haze they created looked amazing on stage and under our lighting and we received many comments at how fantastic they made each scene they were used in.
We purchased a can of Atmosphere Aerosol for our latest video production, the atmosphere it created and the lighting effects we achieved with this product were above our expectations. Amazing product that we now use regularly on our set.
Atmosphere Aerosol is the best!
Really love this product, I've been able to achieve some amazing effects with studio lighting. It is not overpowering like a smoke machine. It will always be part of my camera kit! Thank you for the great customer service!
Atmosphere Aerosol is an amazing product, it does everything it claims too, it makes the light rays visible, without it looking overpowering, just a nice natural looking haze, making your photos so much more interesting, virtually odour free, the can, fits perfectly in your camera bag so its easy to take anywhere. Fantastic product and brilliant customer service.
"I never go to a shoot without Atmosphere Aerosol in my camera bag now! The dimension and added value is unbelievable. A can about the size of my 70-200 is easy to carry and packs a substantial punch! Every client is blown away by how easy it is to add SO MUCH to each portrait session." 📷Bud Johnson @commonsparkmedia

Smoke or Haze in a Can
Atmosphere Aerosol gives photographers and filmmakers an affordable, safe and convenient way to add haze or fog to a shoot without needing power or carrying heavy equipment.
It's safe, non-toxic, and clear: ingredients include propane (45%), butane (45%), and mineral oil (10%). “Hair spray cans, aerosol shaving cream cans, and other pressurized canned products such as PAM cooking spray use propane and butane as a propellant,” Atmosphere Aerosol says.
Whether creating a mysterious atmosphere of giving your light beams a visual boost, fog machines have been a staple for quite some time. But the downside of a fog machine is that the fluid often creates a sweet and acrid odor that may not be very appealing to most.
Do you have any safety facts about Atmosphere Aerosol? It is ozone safe and does not contain any CFC's or ozone depleting chemicals. This product is not known to contain any chemicals currently listed as carcinogens or reproductive toxins.

Atmospheric aerosols consist of small particles of solids, like dust, and liquids, like water, suspended in the atmosphere. Atmospheric aerosols can be either emitted directly into the atmosphere as a particle, like ash, or form when emitted gases undergo complex chemical reactions and condense as particles.
The effect of a low fogger is similar to that of a smoke machine– they are both designed to create a visual effect / impact, whereas a haze machine is designed to emphasize other effects such as lighting beams or lasers.
Sea salt, dust, and volcanic ash are three common types of aerosols.
It's true that aerosols have limited the warming that we've experienced on Earth since the Industrial Revolution. But they also have very big, detrimental impacts on human health, and have been implicated in health problems such as lung damage.
The broadest classification of the chemical components of atmospheric aerosols is into inorganic species (salts, metals), carbonaceous compounds, and water. Many aerosol species are nonvolatile; once deposited in the aerosol phase, they remain there until the particle is eventually removed from the atmosphere.
Smoke and fog both are aerosols.

haze, suspension in the atmosphere of dry particles of dust, salt, aerosols, or photochemical smog that are so small (with diameters of about 0.1 micron [0.00001 cm]) that they cannot be felt or seen individually with the naked eye, but the aggregate reduces horizontal visibility and gives the atmosphere an opalescent ...
If you over-heat the fog fluid, you will create unhealthy byproducts. If you under-heat the fog fluid, you will create fog fluid residue. The first is not safe to breathe, and the second creates a slip hazard.
The American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology notes that extreme exposure to the “fog” created by fog machines can cause eye irritation, voice/throat symptoms and even asthma- or bronchitis-like symptoms in those without asthma.
Yes, you can use a fog machine inside the house. However, the fog will cover everything in your house and your carpet might trap some of it. So, there's a chance the fogging machine might damage your carpet.
Atmosphere Aerosol is a small, portable, contained solution that is simple to use, and does not leave a mess. It is super easy to throw in a bag and take on set just about anywhere.
Products such as deodorant and hair spray will commonly set off smoke detectors.
Odorless, non-toxic, clear, no stain spray. Because it is a flammable aerosol, it must be shipped via ground.
Step 1: Make your "fog juice" by mixing a solution of one part glycerin to three parts distilled water. The "fog" is created when the solution is heated to the point of evaporation. The process leaves an accumulation of dense vapor, which becomes cloudy when it hits room-temperature air.
2. Stockings on the Lens. This is the oldest trick in the book, but still one that's employed on sets of all kinds — from student films to Hollywood features. The idea is simple: Stretch a stocking across your lens to soften the image dramatically, creating a hazy glow within your images.

Clouds usually form around tiny airborne particles called aerosols. Clouds are made of water droplets, ice crystals, or a mix of both. When the sun warms the surface of the Earth, water from oceans and lakes, soil, and plants changes from a liquid to a vapor.
Aerosols are eventually removed from the atmosphere when they attach themselves to Earth's surface (a process called dry deposition) or when rain or snow washes them out of the air (processes called in-cloud and below-cloud scavenging).
What do aerosols do to climate? Aerosols influence climate in two primary ways: by changing the amount of heat that gets in or out of the atmosphere, or by affecting the way clouds form. Some aerosols, like many kinds of dust from ground-up rocks, are light-colored and even a little bit reflective.
Fog and haze differ in that fog is a thick, opaque effect that lasts a short time, while haze is a thin, translucent effect that lasts a long time. Fog is used as a special effect, whereas haze is used for lighting/atmosphere enhancement.
You'll need a small 6-ounce container to make enough juice to fill your bottle. The other ingredient is distilled water, which is also available at drug stores. You don't want to use tap water or mineral water because both contain impurities that will clog up the fogging machine.
How it works. Today, most fluid-based fog machines work by rapidly heating a mixture of water and glycol, producing a vapor. The expanding vapor is forced out of a nozzle where the warm, moist vapor mixes with the cooler air to form fog.
Avoid outdoor activities, especially outdoor sports.
Children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those suffering from chronic illnesses, especially heart and respiratory disease, should remain indoors when haze hits unhealthy levels. Healthy adults should avoid unnecessary outdoor activities.
Haze particles can sometimes affect the heart and lungs, especially in people who already have chronic heart or lung disease e.g. asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or heart failure. There may be up to one to three days of time between exposure to haze and health effects/ symptoms.
- 1) Avoid exposure.
- 2) Stay indoors and keep the air clean.
- 3) Wear a mask.
- 4) Alleviating the symptoms.

Smoke can cause coughing, scratchy throat, irritated sinuses, shortness of breath, chest pain, headaches, stinging eyes, and runny nose.
Some of the pollutants which form haze have also been linked to serious health problems and environmental damage. Exposure to very small particles in the air have been linked with increased respiratory illness, decreased lung function, and even premature death.
It is best to stay indoors during the haze attack because of the high concentration of pollutants in the air can dangerously deteriorate your health. This is especially true for young children, elderly, as well as those who are already suffering from respiratory ailments.
It's important to increase water intake during the hazy season as it helps your body to flush out toxins absorbed through the skin and lungs, and thus improving your immune system. Aside from water, you should also consume more fresh fruits and vegetables as they have high water content.
1a : fine dust, smoke, or light vapor causing lack of transparency of the air. b : a cloudy appearance in a transparent liquid or solid also : a dullness of finish (as on furniture) 2 : something suggesting atmospheric haze especially : vagueness of mind or mental perception. haze.
HAZE is caused by particulate matter from many sources including smoke, road dust, and other particles emitted directly into the atmosphere, as well as particulate matter formed when gaseous pollutants react in the atmosphere. These particles often grow in size as humidity increases, further impairing VISIBILITY.
What is haze? Haze is a mixture of airborne pollutants containing dust, smoke particles, carbon monoxide and other toxic gases. Due to its small size, these particles can enter deep into the lungs and into the bloodstream in some cases.
Haze. A suspension in the air of extremely small, dry particles that are invisible to the naked eye and sufficiently numerous to give the air an opalescent appearance. That is the scientific way of saying haze is air pollution. There is often not much difference in the appearance of 'haze' and 'mist'.

Haze often occurs when suspended dust and smoke particles accumulate in relatively dry air. When weather conditions block the dispersal of smoke and other pollutants they concentrate and form a usually low-hanging shroud that impairs visibility and may become a respiratory health threat if excessively inhaled.
What is the health effect of haze? Haze particles can give rise to acute symptoms such as cough, wheezing, shortness of breath and a feeling of tiredness and weakness. The effect of haze is aggravated in people with pre-existing heart or lung disorders.
Environmental irritants such as particulate matter in the haze will trigger the nose lining. Hence, patients with allergic rhinitis will be more symptomatic than healthy individuals. They may also have more frequent flare-ups or take longer to recover.
. From another perspective, the temperature in the lower troposphere increases for severe persistent haze events, and the temperature increases more rapidly at 850 hPa than at 1000 hPa, resulting in an anomalous inversion in the lower troposphere (Fig.
